Training on Customs Act, B.E. 2560

On Tuesday, 27th June 2017, 09.00-16.00 hrs

At the Narai Hotel, Laksami Room.

Customs Act, B.E. 2469 was one of the oldest laws and is a primary law most concerned with our business.  Over the years, the main law has not really been updated.  Instead, 24 amendments were enacted.  Finally, the Customs law has been revised and the new Customs Act, B.E. 2560 was published in the Royal Gazette on 17th May 2017.  The new Customs law will go into effect 180 days later, i.e. 15th November 2017.  There are some changes which we need to study, e.g. Customs free time (before import consignment becoming unclaimed cargo) has been reduced from 60 days to 30 days, new definitions of transshipment and transit, etc.

BSAA is pleased to inform members that a one-day training will be organized on Tuesday, 27th June 2017 at the Narai Hotel.  We have invited Khun Krittika Panprasert, Director of Legal Affairs Bureau, Customs Dept. to conduct the training for us.  Khun Krittika’s lecture will focus on the sections concerned with our business.  This will be a good opportunity for us to raise questions for Customs’ clarification.
