The International Ship and Port Facility Code is due for its five-year review, and will be a subject May 4 when the National Maritime Security Advisory Committee meets in Washington.


Other agenda items include updates on the Transportation Worker Identification Credential, seafarers' access to shore leave at U.S. ports, and creating tiers for the Maritime Transportation Security Act.

The second half of the meeting will be closed to discus national security matters.

The committee will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Coast Guard headquarters in Washington. People wishing to attend the meeting must have a government-issued ID card.
