One of the key functions of BSAA is to organize seminars/trainings for members to keep ourselves abreast of current developments relevant to our work. Topics on law and regulation are among the keen interest of all members. BSAA is pleased to inform members of the next seminar on Thursday, 6th October 2016 at Narai Hotel.
The topic we have chosen for this seminar is on two draft laws which are expected to be deliberated for passing into law by the National Legislative Assembly soon.

Draft Trade Competition Act, B.E....
The draft act is a revision of the existing Trade Competition Act, B.E. 2542. Members will recall that the Dept. of Internal Trade (DIT), Ministry of Commerce, being the government regulator, has conducted investigations on a number of complaints against service providers. The draft revised Act is said to give the authority more regulatory power.

Draft Marine Insurance Act, B.E....
Thailand does not have a marine insurance law. The new marine insurance law is therefore drafted for enactment to regulate the industry. The draft law is based on UK's Marine Insurance Act 1906. UK's Insurance Act 2015 is also taken into account by the drafting committee.

We are privileged to have Khun Noppramart Thammateeradaycho to conduct this seminar for the members. Khun Noppramart is a very experienced attorney at law and has been involved in litigation cases related to insurance, shipping and maritime. She will give a comprehensive presentation on the overview of the two draft laws, an analysis of the impact on our business and case study.

This is an ideal opportunity for members to gain a better understanding of the coming revised Trade Competition Act and knowledge of the provisions under the new Marine Insurance Act. We thank you for your support in anticipation and look forward to your early booking.
